To help everyone, we first needed to design and develop a blueprint AF Foundation Child Rehabilitation & Physiotherapy Unit. We have chosen to work with The Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust in order to achieve this.
Alder Hey, in Liverpool, is one of the busiest children’s hospitals in Europe treating more than 200,000 children a year. Repected worldwide, Alder Hey’s vast experience and knowledge are vital to our success. It is within their hospital that we have developed and refined our blueprint, thus creating our flagship and first of many AF Foundation Child Rehabilitation & Physiotherapy Units.
Alder Hey is just one of four ‘stand alone‘ children’s hospitals in the UK; the others being Great Ormond Street, Birmigham Children’s Hospital and Sheffield Children’s Hospital. We hope to install an AF Foundation Child Rehabilitation & Physiotherapy Unit in all of them.
Obviously we won’t stop there as so many other hospitals and units throughout the UK are in need of support.
